Porcelain and wire (in acrylic case)
h: 20 w: 20 d: 30 (cms).
Inspired by the ecology of plants and organisms found in woodlands around Bath, I use porcelain to express the interconnectedness of life and growth with decay and the return to the earth. Porcelain is a beautiful material with which to preserve this ephemeral beauty: once fired, the work alludes to the fragility and vulnerability of our forest ecosystems.
