Statement
I think of my work as a recording of a point in time, evidence of something that once was. Each piece serves as both an exploration and a preservation of history—a glimpse into memories and events that might otherwise remain unseen. Using acrylic paint and collage, I create layers that hold fragments of these stories. I work into them over and over again, embedding textures and forms that evolve with each pass. The surfaces become complex and multi-layered, mirroring the hidden layers of history itself.
My inspiration often comes from buildings, places and the lingering presence of those who have passed through them. I am fascinated by how spaces hold memories, by the marks and messages left behind, intentionally or by chance. In some pieces, I incorporate coded messages or symbols—quiet invitations for viewers to look deeper, to uncover what might be hidden. These elements are left purposefully ambiguous, allowing the paintings to reveal themselves gradually to those who take the time to observe closely.
Through my work, I aim to invite a connection to the past, to stories left unspoken, and to the mystery of what might still be uncovered.
