My piece ‘RE//CONNECT’ is meant to explore the theme of loneliness through a different lense- the special type felt not when you’re simply just alone, but rather when you can stand in a room full of people- friends or family and still feel as if something is missing. I have tried to portray the desperation felt when one (unrequited) craves a stronger, faster connection with the people they already know and the accompanying feeling that what they really want is just out of reach.
